Sparrow King Returns to Antofagasta
Sparrow King has returned to his "wintering" grounds on the outskirts of Antofagasta, Chile. He flew 613 km (351 mi) in the past two days, with his most recent signal locating him in the hills about a kilometer east of the city.
In February 2007, an FRG team is traveling to Chile to radio-tag several adult female tundra peregrines. We'll record their travels here, following their migration north to the arctic and then back to Chile next year.
