Felipe Backtracks

Yesterday Felipe flew SE for about 30 km, indicating that he is not that serious about heading north just yet.

Really fascinating behavior which raises the question of whether he will migrate north at all this year.

To my knowledge, that would be truly unique in peregrine biology.

We all continue to wait to see what he will do next.

He has now been up in the Puna grasslands for 11 days.

It looks like he roosted last night by a small stream at around 15, 709 feet.

I've been outside whistling and calling his name to and he just won't come north. Maybe I need to whistle louder.
