Island Girl Arrives in the Darien

Yesterday, Island Girl turned on some speed and flew almost completely across the rest of Colombia.

She covered 442 km (275 miles) before coming to roost 20 miles inland from the Pacific coast in the jungles of the Darien Gap.

She slept just about a mile short of the Panamanian border.

The Darien is famous for its impenetrable forests, lack of roads and pristine wilderness.

Pretty wild and lawless in other ways too, I am told.
