Island Girl On the Caribbean

Island Girl did just about as expected yesterday. She turned to the SW and followed the coastline for 70 km (43 miles), taking it easy as she adjusts to the major change in her migratory bearing and hopefully enjoying the pale turquoise waters of the Caribbean.

Well, I would anyway.

From the last GPS location she's in the Province of Colon. I live in Santiago, the capital city of the Province of Veraguas, the next province she has to cross. Sadly there are no roads to the caribbean, it's a two days' walk trip from Santa Fe (57 km north of Santiago). This part of Panama's caribbean coast is densely forested and has few inhabitants. Right now we are in the rainy season.
If there were good roads, I would've tried to intercept her. I wihs her the best.
