Eavesdropping on Don and Marco...

These two e-mails in this morning.

From Don,

"Hi Everyone,
Island Girl spent another night in Limon. This time it looks like she found a new spot in the woods outside of town instead of a cell tower.
Don"
Reply from Marco
"HI DON,
SINCE I AM STILL IN LIMON I WILL CHECK THAT SPOT, I AM HEADING TO KEKOLDI AREA AND HAVE TO DRIVE NEAR THE PLACE. I THINK IT IS PROBABLY ANOTHER NEW TOWER, AS IN THE CASE OF THE TOWER I SPOTTED IG, THAT YOU CAN NOT SEE THE TOWER IN THE MAP BECAUSE WAS BILT VERY RECENTLY. I WILL LET YOU KNOW LATER."

Kekoldi is a famous hawkwatching site located further south along the Caribbean coastline. They regularly have some of the largest recorded numbers of migrant peregrines in the world passing thier station at this time of year.

Hello,

Yesterday some locals, and students and teachers from the University of Costa Rica in Limón encouraged by AOCR, were in search of Island Girl. No luck! but the search of Island Girl was a nice reason for a birding tour around the town, where other migrants and resident birds were spotted. Island Girl presence in Costa Rica (and other countries without doubt) is an amazing "Umbrella Species" that can involves many people, other migrant species and related activities concerning community and conservation issues. Even if Island Girl is intercepted or not!
