On Saturday, Island Girl crossed over the rest of Guatemala and into Honduras. She continued to fly on the normal SE heading as expected. She likely crossed over Lago Izabal on her way south.
She flew 296 km (184 miles) and well into the mountainous region of Honduras angling slightly towards the Pacific coast.
She roosted in tropical forest at the north end of a relatively remote mountain range about 45 miles NW of the capitol, Tegucigalpa. Her elevation here was 7,054', so she slept in a cooler area that night.
