Island Girl once again took her time traversing Ecuador. Unexpectedly, she took a relatively short flight on Thursday, hopping only 95 km (59 miles) up into the foothills of the Andes.
She roosted at 2,201' elevation at the head of a small valley. Looks like an isolated tree in the middle of a clearing to me.
The next ridge to the west is called the Cordillera de El Oso or the Bear Mountains.
She was only 20 miles from the border with Peru so looks like Friday into another country.
